We had a very productive meeting with Rebecca Galley from the OU on Thursday 26th of May. The discussions were focussed around two main areas: to brainstorm ideas on the content that would be relevant to include in the final OULDI project report, and to review the draft copies of the three case study narratives tabled during the meeting.
Rebecca’s constructive comments about the case study narratives were very useful, and essentially reinforced the importance of standardisation and conciseness in all narratives. Emphasis was made on the relevance of aligning the evaluation of the case study narratives with our critical success factors, which are to promote:
• Profound thinking about technology enhanced learning
• Collaboration and sharing in relation to designs
• Alignment between student needs, characteristics/requirements of the programme and teaching style.
By the end of the meeting, we had a long list of actions which we now need to work on to complete our final project report. Indeed, a day very well spent.
