Additional Comments:
The item is in the Dunimarle Library of the Erskines of Torrie, Fife but as with many items in the collection it appears to have had a previous owner. The identity of the annotator is thus uncertain. The dates would allow the annotations to have been entered by members of the Erskine family. However there are no signatures and there are two letters, dated 1832 and 1833, laid in addressed to James Ker of Carskedo, Ceres[Fife]. There are others items in the collection relating to Ker.
