Evidence:
'On Sunday morning Blair and I left Hospital. We drove to the McCormicks' Bungalow, and since then I've been having a real slack time. I am reading The Crisis by Winston Churchill. It is very good indeed, though I like The Crossing still better, that Anderson McKendrick read aloud to us at Kasauli. A most interesting part of The Crisis is what is written about the Germans. It makes one think.'
