Additional Comments:

The Editors’ Note 1 to Letter 424 reads: “At the Land’s End of France”, an unsigned article by Colvin in the November "Cornhill", celebrating his holiday in Brittany. It was reprinted in [Colvin’s] "Memories and Notes" in 1921.” There seems from the allusion in Letter 424 to have been a reading experience by RLS either of the published article or of some form of it enclosed or included the Colvin letter prompting this reply.
