On p.149, the Editors’ Note 2 to Letter 402 reads: “Colvin’s article, ‘The History of a Pavement’ in the July "Fortnightly Review" about the engraved and inlaid marble floor of the Cathedral in Siena. The Fitzwilliam Museum had acquired a set of drawings which Colvin used as the basis for a series of lectures.”
