'De Quincey was the subject before the paper & number of extracts [sic] & two papers, one read by Mrs Rawlings & one by Miss Cole, gave a very interesting introduction to De Quincey & his literary work. Unwin Reading from Recollections of Charles Lamb Miss Marriage [ditto] Confessions of an Opium Eater Miss Bowman Smith & Mrs Reynolds also gave reading [sic] Mrs Robson contributed a song.'
